i love it when days just come together.
wednesdays are our busy days. i get into work, finish getting the girls ready so that we can take pc to gymnastics at 915 and BAM! we are out the door. if we are lucky, we get to the gym a little early so we aren't rushing in the door at the last minute.
today, i got into work and the twins were dressed and fed. pc was almost ready, but everyone was happy. i packed up the backpack, got shoes and jackets on, brushed the pc's mop and we got out the door with ample time. we rolled into gymnastics with perfect timing and the great moods of all 3 girls helped make it even easier.
the twins flirted with some of the parents (which is a HUGE acheivement!), played with their baby cousin (bigger cousin takes the class with pc), gave me ample lovins and were great kids. pc did her best at class and the smile on her face never left.
after class, we all sat in the car and discussed our plans for the day. sometimes i will have a game plan and other days we wing it. today, we were all wings. pc and i decided to hit up our favorite gourmet/healthy grocery store to make the rounds and get some lunch. all 3 of the girls love to wander through the produce section and see all the colors and shapes and variety. we all secretly hope they will have samples out. from there, we hit up the seafood section so that pc can admire the crabs that look like they are sunbathing in the ice. next, it's the bakery with tons of goodness on display. today we saw cupcakes made to look like aquariums that just blew pc away. we picked out a cookie for the girls to share and then hit up the self service area for lunch.
once we stocked up on all the necessities for lunch (chicken chili for pc, mac/cheese for the girls, black bean soup for me, vanilla milks for the chicks and sweet tea for me...and don't forget the pirate booty!) we headed to the register. there, the girls usually get fawned over by the checker and pc proceeds to tell them her whole life story. then it's time to scope out the tables and find a place big enough to spread out our goods.
all 3 girls devoured their meals today. how could they not? the mac and cheese is seriously to die for. pc's chicken chili is her new favorite (and i tasted it. she has GREAT taste!). we grooved in our seats to the kickass late 80s music they had playing over the speakers and shared lots of giggles and silliness.
the twins and i then escorted big sis to school. once she was dropped off, i surprised the twins and took them to the park to run around, hit the slide and throw sand. from there, i managed to get them home with no fuss where they played a bit longer and then we prepared for nap.
they crashed and slept for just under 3 hours. they've been waking up happy lately and today was no exception. when i left the house, the girls were animated and chowing down once again for dinner. and i left content, something which doesn't happen often.
